Clinical Assistant- Cardiac Clinic

About the Department

Boston Children’s Division of Outpatient Cardiology is one of the world’s oldest, largest, and most experienced pediatric programs. Our clinic provides comprehensive evaluation and coordinated care for infants, children, and adults with various heart and heart-related illnesses, diseases, and conditions. We care for patients who have congenital heart disease and the congenital heart defects (CHDs) that it causes, such as septal defects and tetralogy of Fallot. We also care for those who have acquired heart disease — conditions such as cardiomyopathy and hypertension.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, verifying, and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
• Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to a Registered Nurse.
• Transporting patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Working in both Waltham and Boston clinics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year clinical assistant (CA) experience, CNA certification, or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required, or certification must be obtained within three months of hire.

During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

Schedule

5 eight-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Pay

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
