Clinical Assistant

Job Summary

Clinical Assistant Internal Medicine seeks a Clinical Study Assistant to support administrative operations and coordination of human subjects research studies. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for clinical research activities.
• Collects and compiles data from study patient interviews and enters into study database.
• Schedules study visits and monitors completion of study assessments by enrolled participants.
• Contacts study participants in follow-up phase to ensure compliance with assessments and schedules follow-up visits as needed.
• Develops and maintains patient databases, investigational logs and records of study treatment administered, and/or procedures followed.
• Maintain study supply inventory, including ordering supplemental test articles and returning unused test articles to sponsor.
• Prepares and maintains regulatory documents.

Qualifications

• Requires little to no related experience.
• Associates degree or equivalency.
• Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels: Clinical Assistant, I.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, IATA Dangerous Goods, FDA, HIPAA and IRB regulations; an understanding of research procedures; and the ability to function independently preferred.
