CLINICAL ASSISTANT

As a Clinical Assistant with Bluegrass Orthopaedics, you will play a key role in supporting Providers in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic environment. This position is well-suited for individuals with clinical backgrounds such as Medical Assistants, Athletic Trainers, Orthopedic Technicians, or other hands-on patient care roles. Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vitals, medical history, and chief complaintsAssist Providers with clinical procedures, including suture/staple removal, bandaging, and post-operative careCreate and process PT orders, work status forms, and other clinical documentationE-scribe medications and assist with patient instructionsDocument all patient interactions accurately in the EMRManage daily administrative tasks including:Returning patient calls and voicemailsProcessing faxes and electronic documents (e.g., Updox)Completing FMLA and short-term disability paperworkMonitoring and ensuring timely completion of Provider documentationSupport clinic operations and provide coverage across departments as needed
