About This Role
This is not your traditional clinical assistant position, and that's exactly what makes it special. As a Clinical Assistant at Health Bridge, you'll be stepping into something far more meaningful. You'll be the face of a first-of-its-kind telehealth dentistry experience, working directly with patients at federally funded clinics to help them access Preventive Dental Evaluations they may have never had before.
Your Role in Action
- Serve as the in-person link between the patient and the remote licensed dentist during live telehealth dental evaluations
- Guide the intraoral camera in real time while the dentist remotely observes, interacts, and conducts the evaluation live
- Facilitate a warm and seamless virtual introduction between the patient and the remote dentist, ensuring the experience feels personal and comfortable
- Build genuine rapport with patients, many of whom have had limited access to dental care, creating a welcoming and reassuring environment
- Collect medical histories, capture diagnostic data, and organize patient records accurately for dentist review
- Maintain thorough documentation while demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality at all times

Who We're Looking For
- Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A Medical or Dental Assistant Certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proof of current immunizations and TB screening
- Bonus Points For:
- Familiarity with dental tools, terminology, or procedures
- Current CPR or BLS card (must remain active)
- An 8-Hour Infection Control Certificate
- A California Dental Practice Act Certificate
- Fluency in another language (this is a strong plus given the communities we serve)
