Clinical Assistant
About the role
The Clinical Assistant is responsible for the coordination of all Category II and III equipment set-ups and staff scheduling as directed. The Clinical Assistant acts as a liaison between Norco clinicians and referral sources, and troubleshoots questions and problems with patients/clients.
Responsibilities
- Work with patients, physicians, therapists, insurance companies, and referral sources to optimize the equipment needs for clients
- Obtain necessary documentation and authorizations required for equipment coverage
- Aid with clinical, sales support, and home transition staff, as necessary
- Aid customer service staff to coordinate respiratory-related discharges
- Cook with RT/Clinician schedules and patient set-ups, answer and route clinical staff/patient communication
- Make deliveries when necessary
- On-call required on a predetermined rotating basis
- Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a caring, personable manner
- Previous home care experience is preferred
- Excellent public relations and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including phone demeanor
- Excellent office skills - (Microsoft Office, Docuware applications)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and over 75 lbs occasionally to a height of 36 inches

Pay
$20-$21/Hr DOE
Schedule
On-call required on a predetermined rotating basis
