Work schedule: Full-time, Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
About the role
Works under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide assistive care and communication for patients and their families in outpatient specialty clinics, as well as support for team members, professional and technical staff, and visitors. Provides safe, age-appropriate care and contributes to efficient clinic operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support certification
- At least one of the following:
- Six months of patient care experience within the last two years
- Enrolled in a medical-related college program and in clinical rotation
- CNA, CMA, PCT, or EMT certification
Qualifications
- 1 year of job experience as Staff Level with specialization in Patient Care Support
- Equivalent qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA, ARMA, or other recognized credential)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Certified Patient Care Technician
- Certified Emergency Medical Technician
- Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) certification
