About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our dynamic team as a full-time faculty member in Exotic Animal Medicine. This position can be on a tenure or clinical track and can be tailored to your experiences, species preferences, and career goals.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor a specialty intern
  • Teach in the exotic animal medicine course and clinical skills labs within the DVM curriculum
  • Serve as a clinical mentor for house officers and students

Requirements

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Arizona State Veterinary License
  • Board certification (or eligibility) by ACZM, ECZM, or ABVPE
  • Evidence of excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Understanding of patient-centered care
  • Willingness to engage in collaborative clinical research
  • Strong commitment to meeting the needs of students and house officers
  • Collaborative mindset to foster a team-approach to teaching and service

Qualifications

  • Teaching experience
  • Research experience (desirable but not required)

Pay

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with some weekend and evening hours required.
