Clinical Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, Palliative Care
About the role
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time clinical faculty member specializing in care of patients in palliative care. This position will be at the Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor level commensurate with experience and qualifications in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch and an appropriate Division at the UW depending on training and specialty.
Responsibilities
- Focused primarily on ambulatory clinical care of patients receiving palliative care at a world-renowned comprehensive cancer center.
- Engage in teaching, research, and service activities within the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch and an appropriate Division at the UW.
- Oversight of trainees during outpatient and inpatient clinical activities, and lectures.
- Recruit and care for trial patients.
- Based at the South Lake Union main campus, but may see patients at one of Fred Hutch’s community clinics.
Requirements
- MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Board certification (or board eligibility for current fellows) in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington
- A record of and primary interest in palliative care

Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $263,658.00-$284,224.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank, $316,747.00-$339,553.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Associate Professor rank, and $327,279.00-$368,189.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Professor rank. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $263,658.00-$284,224.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank, $316,747.00-$339,553.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Associate Professor rank, and $327,279.00-$368,189.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Professor rank.
