Clinical Assistant - Allergy (CMA, LPN, RMA)

About the role

Join us in partnering with our patients to improve well-being through comprehensive high-value healthcare at our growing, physician-owned practice. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Assistant (CMA, RMA, LPN) to join our Allergy and Asthma team to administer allergy shots (Allergen Immunotherapy or AIT). In this role, you will play a vital part in administering allergy injections with the utmost safety and effectiveness, adhering to established processes and protocols, and guaranteeing the consistent delivery of high-quality care. This team member must demonstrate excellent communication skills with other team members, physicians, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine allergy injections safely and effectively.
• Accurately document relevant information in electronic medical record.
• Responsible for the daily upkeep of AIT fridges, as well as conducting audits and managing equipment logs.
• Handles private patient health information within the guidelines of HIPAA and company privacy practices.
• Provide patient education materials and communicate physician advice and instruction.
• Adhere to all consent policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
• Willingness to travel between all clinic locations.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year experience working in specialty care.
