About the role
We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Counselor to join our emergency/acute care clinical team. This on-site position emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care in a diverse, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric risk assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Provide crisis intervention
- Deliver care to patients and families in Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in social services, psychology, or related fields
- Licensure such as Alaska Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor upon hire
- National Provider BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- At least 3 years of clinical mental health experience
Skills
- Strong assessment, crisis intervention, diagnosis, and treatment planning capabilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
