About the role

The US Eye Practice System Specialist – EHR supports the company's electronic health record system and a variety of software platforms designed to enhance clinical integration across all company locations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Aid with the configuration, maintenance, and performance of the EHR and other ancillary systems.
  • Advise on and coordinate implementation of policies, protocols, and systems that improve practice productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Develop and administer comprehensive EHR education, including technical skills, ophthalmic/medical knowledge, and EHR protocols.
  • Provide individual and group training to new ophthalmic technicians and newly partnered practices.
  • Ensure clinical policies, procedures, and protocols are understood by new partnerships.
  • Coordinate in-house continuing education programs for clinical and non-clinical personnel.
  • Audit physician EHR charts, including new provider adoption and proper use of the system, as well as MIPS quality measure compliance, as required.
  • Work directly with system vendors to set up new practices, locations, and providers.
  • Manage EHR system conversion and go-lives in collaboration with IT and vendor teams.
  • Continuously review the effectiveness of the ICP training program and make changes as necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of working in a medical office supporting front-office and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of NextGen Enterprise Practice Management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MIPS (CMS) program is preferred.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Travel

Travel is required for training.
