Clinical Applications Professional 4 HX- Cadence - IS Systems Applications - FT - Days

About the role

This incumbent acts as both a functional and technical analyst in the development, upgrade, enhancement and support of financial and administrative systems. (Epic Referrals, Cadence, appointment request routing/authorizations, scheduling and related 3rd party systems).

Responsibilities

• Maintains and manages large modules of an enterprise clinical information system or department specialty system.
• Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and patient care practices.
• Participates in the analysis and design of data communication links between systems.
• Working knowledge of inpatient and/or ambulatory clinic workflows.
• Understanding of Work Flow Engine Rule and Order Transmittal.
• Understanding of Epic User Security.
• Experience working with Epic EMR and its various modules.
• Experience using/implementing/supporting an EMR in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Current certification in Epic Cadence.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to self initiate and effectively problem solve issues.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to function as a project leader and project member.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Project Coordination / management experience.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
• Epic certification in Referrals and Prelude.

• Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Ability to self-initiate and effectively problem solve issues.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to function as a project leader and project member.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Project Coordination / management experience.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
• Epic certification in Referrals and Prelude.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must have working knowledge of client/server systems, relational database structures and reporting tools.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be willing to participate in 24 hour on-call rotations as a system duty officer.
• Must possess a working knowledge of HL7 and other interface/integration strategies.
• Must have 2-4 years Epic build experience in Cadence and referrals.

Skills

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must have current certification in Epic Cadence.
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
