Clinical Applications Professional 3 HX - Prelude - IS Systems Application - FT - Days

About the role

The incumbent acts as both a functional and technical leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of financial and administrative systems (Epic Prelude and RTE, Patient access scheduling, registration and related 3rd party systems).

Responsibilities

• Maintains and manages large modules of an enterprise clinical information system or department specialty system.
• Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and patient care practices.
• Participates in the analysis and design of data communication links between systems.
• Supports the Epic EMR system core patient access applications (Registration, RTE, scheduling workflows, WQs, extracts, data courier).
• Supports 24 hour on-call rotations as a system duty officer.
• Supports the Epic certification in Grand Central and Epic certification in Cadence.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of inpatient and/or ambulatory clinic workflows.
• Working knowledge of HL7 and other interface/integration strategies.
• Working knowledge of client/server systems, relational database structures and reporting tools.
• Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Willingness to participate in 24 hour on-call rotations as a system duty officer.
• Current certification in Epic Prelude/RTE.
• Experience using/implementing/supporting an EMR in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated experience supporting the Epic EMR system core patient access applications (Registration, RTE, scheduling workflows, WQs, extracts, data courier).
• 3-5+ years of relevant work experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of eMPA integrations.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.

Skills

• Project Coordination / management experience.
• Epic certification in Grand Central.
• Epic certification in Cadence.
