Job Summary
The Clinical Systems Analyst at North Mississippi Health Services plays a vital role in the implementation, evaluation, planning, design, and maintenance of clinical systems. They serve as a liaison between physicians, clinical staff, and technical teams, ensuring efficient automation and user satisfaction. Additionally, they provide training and support to promote patient safety and confidentiality while facilitating the coordination of clinical services.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Affords assistance in the implementation of clinical systems.
- Performs needs assessment, evaluation, planning, design, programming, testing, implementation and maintenance of clinical systems.
- Functions as a clinical system liaison between physicians, clinical staff and technical staff.
- Responsible for analysis of efficiency of automation from the user perspective, recommendation of actions to facilitate appropriate system performance and assessment of user needs for NMHS facilities.
- Provides front line support for major system implementations.
- Documents all changes and enhancements requested by users to the above systems and interfaces so that the appropriate personnel will be aware of the changes.
- Instructs, advises, and assists user personnel and other technical staff throughout NMHS regarding changes and enhancements to the various systems supported and maintained.
- Develops and edits training guides/CBT Modules as well as educates system users at NMHS.
- Provides direct hands-on education and support to staff in the use of technical/clinical systems in a manner which promotes patient safety and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree. Preferred
- Licenses and Certifications: Not specified
- Work Experience: 1-3 years. 2 years experience in a clinical area working with computerized information systems in a healthcare facility. Required
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- The position has the responsibility for assisting in the evaluation, planning, programming, testing, and implementation of clinical information systems.
- The individual is responsible for interacting with the various clinical disciplines, in the processes of evaluation, planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of clinical pathways, clinical systems alternatives, system interfaces and clinical information systems.
- The individual is also responsible for interaction with all clinical system users to coordinate clinical services for assigned areas.
- The individual must project a professional and courteous image in all interactions.
- The individual must interact with and communicate information to all levels of personnel within the organization and must possess good interpersonal communication skills.
