Clinical Adjunct Instructor - Health Science

Job Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Course Coordinator, Dean of Health Science, or the Assistant Dean of Nursing.
• Participate in clinical instruction as designated by the Course Coordinator, Assistant Dean of Nursing, and or Dean of Health Science.
• Serve as a supervisor and assistant to nursing students during clinical laboratory experiences.
• Select clients for student clinical experience.
• Attend and participate in meetings as scheduled by the Course Coordinator to ensure consistency between course content and clinical experiences.
• Collaborate with the Course Coordinator in developing appropriate clinical experiences.
• Assist in evaluating student progress and maintaining appropriate records.
• Evaluate student progress and review the curriculum and specific course content to facilitate student progress.
• Adhere to course and program objectives and policies, procedures, and standards of WTC, Department of Nursing - Nursing Standards of Care and Code of Ethics.
• Maintain CPR certification, TB screening, and physical/titers/immunization/vaccines annually.
• Submit evidence of a clear background check and drug screens as well as evidence of Care Learning.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and active license as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina or another compact state.
• Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience as a Registered or Advance Practice Nurse related to field of primary responsibility.

• Master's degree in Nursing and active license as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina or another compact state.
• Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience as a Registered or Advance Practice Nurse related to field of primary responsibility.
