Clinic Supervisor - Endocrinology
Job Overview
Fairview has an immediate opening for a full-time, salaried Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee RN and support staff in endocrinology at the University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center.
Responsibilities
- Delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic.
- Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices.
- Supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families.
- Edicates patients and the public about various medical conditions.
- Maintains complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient.
- Continually looks for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
- Manages the operations of designated staff, both clinical and non-clinical.
- Provides work flow direction and management that is consistent with achieving department and organizational objectives.
- Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Aids in strategic planning and budgeting.
- Leads and/or participates in improvement projects/teams.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
- MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
- Preferred experience with endocrinology/diabetes patient population and/or Certified Diabetes Educator (preferred)

Pay
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
Schedule
The Supervisor Patient Care-Clinics works 80 hours every two weeks with 80% of time at the Minneapolis Clinical Surgery Center and 20% at the Maple Grove MG Ambulatory Care Center, with clinics operating Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
