Clinic Supervisor - Chandler

About the role
This full-time, exempt position oversees daily clinic operations in Chandler, ensuring efficient patient flow, staff coordination, and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Identify patient service requirements by establishing rapport with patients and others.
- Assess, provide, and interpret specific patient data; exhibit knowledge of growth, development, and appropriate communication.
- Promote collaboration within the facility to improve patient access and outcomes, increasing team efficiency.
- Assist with orientation and training of new team members.
- Ensure patient flowsheet/check-out sheet is completed for each visit.
- Conduct fibroscans in preparation for provider examinations.
- Implement provider orders promptly and accurately.
- Maintain documentation of patient care services by scanning and completing records per policies.
- Document procedures, medications, and care in the EMR and 340B tracker.
- Assist with 340B medication prior authorization by entering tasks in the EMR.
- Educate patients on medications and directions for use.
- Support patients and providers in the medication refill process.
- Notify patients about specialty pharmacy information, prior authorization processes, and order delays.
- Answer telephone calls, take messages, and return calls to patients, documenting all interactions in the EMR.
- Facilitate patient reports and deliver them to providers.
- Act as an effective communication link between patients and medical staff.
- Process outgoing referrals, ensuring referred providers have necessary documents to schedule patients.
- Schedule diagnostic procedures or specialist appointments as required.
- Act as a liaison with providers, other medical offices, and hospitals.
- Clean and prepare rooms between procedures, restock supplies, and ensure items are within expiration dates.
- Complete patient care tasks such as setting up rooms, placing patients, taking vitals, and recording information.
- Maintain adequate medical and office supply inventory, ordering bi-weekly as needed.
- Assist the research department with Fibro scans and maintain training for delegated tasks.
- Perform supervisory duties including interviewing prospective employees, assigning tasks, monitoring completion, and ensuring coverage for breaks, meetings, sick days, and PTO.
- Monitor and approve employees’ timecards, completing bi-weekly payroll.
- Develop and review standard operating procedures (SOP) annually.
- Report clinical issues to providers and complete assignments from providers or the Practice Administrator.
- Provide orientation and training for SOC Medical Assistants and Phlebotomists.
- Maintain professional certification and technical knowledge through education and networking.
- Ensure operation of medical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and evaluating new equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- MA certification highly preferred; required to be obtained after hire if not certified.
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a clinic setting.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- Excellent computer skills; ability to type at least 40 WPM.
- Knowledge of filing and charting procedures.
- Ability to use calculators and office equipment.

Work environment
Clinic setting with the following physical demands:
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Able to walk and stand for at least 50% of the day.
- Able to sit for at least 50% of the day.
- Ability to communicate effectively (hearing, talking, vision).
- Able to type and perform computer work for extended periods.
Travel Requirements
Some interoffice travel may be required with the use of a company vehicle or mileage reimbursement.
Pay
$50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience (specialty, clinic volume, front & back office preferred).
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
