Clinic Supervisor
Job Summary
Oversee the staff (patient care team, front desk, records, and ancillary services) caring for patients in our outpatient Cardiology clinic at Dignity Health Medical Foundation. Advocate for your team and align with operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee smooth flow of clinic operations
- Acts as a resource to staff for operational needs
- Handles day-to-day patient satisfaction concerns
- Recruit, hire, train, discipline and supervise staff
- Mentor people on your team
- Monitor productivity and efficiency of your department
- Aid in budget development, management, and addressing cost-effective operations
Requirements
- Three (3) years of Outpatient Clinic experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise productive, engaged teams and work with providers
- Knowledge of or ability to learn the budgeting process, management reports, accounting, purchasing and patient billing process and systems
- Knowledge of computers, systems and software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, clinical information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems, and other application packages
- Health insurance knowledge of HMO, PPO and capitated risk plan contracts as they relate to providers and practices
- Visible and results-oriented leader with a focus on getting the job done while ensuring strong interpersonal relationships
- Resilience, sense of urgency, outcome-driven, and able to thrive in an environment of rapid change
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing
- Supports providing exceptional patient care within a highly regulated and constantly changing environment
Preferred
- Previous experience in the specialities preferred
- Previous lead or supervisory experience in a union environment strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education, preferred
- RN or LVN license & experience preferred

Pay Range
$36.00 - $49.07 /hour
