Clinic Supervisor

About the role

The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of departmental staff, assisting the management team with clinic operations, and supporting the delivery of quality patient care. This role involves overseeing operations, managing clinical and front office staff, and ensuring teams complete assignments and conduct internal audits. The Clinic Supervisor also handles training, scheduling, and administrative tasks, ensuring seamless clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to departmental staff.
• Ensure the department is adequately staffed and manage schedules to ensure coverage for all clinics.
• Monitor employee performance and provide timely feedback to employees.
• Identify opportunities for employee development and facilitate coaching, training, and resources.
• Collaborate with the department management team to ensure workflows support efficient and effective clinic operations.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating administrative and clinical services.
• Support management in identifying areas for improvement and implementing quality initiatives.
• Ensure patient concerns and complaints are addressed promptly.
• Track departmental key performance indicators (KPI) and report findings to management monthly.
• Manage departmental inventory of medical and medication supplies.
• Provide initial and ongoing training to clinical and administrative staff.
• Provide coverage of Certified Medical Assistant responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant.
• Experience in customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and first aid certification within 60 days of hire.
• 1-year experience as a medical assistant (front or back office).
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all organizational levels.
