About the role
The Specialty Registered Nurse is responsible for patient preparation, as well as assisting the physician with procedures and minor surgeries. The RN performs various diagnostic tests, patient education in the clinic, maintains equipment, and acts as liaison between the physician and all outside agencies to include hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMO’s and other physician’s offices, as well as with the patient. The nurse also supports other medical staff members as necessary to maintain patient flow.
Schedule
Day shift, Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm; call duty one weekend every five weeks.
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing (either AR license or multi-state license to include AR)
- CPR certification required
- High School diploma or GED equivalent if working in the lab
- Previous clinical experience preferred
This position is authorized for 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
