Clinic Scheduler – PRN

Responsibilities

• Initial contact with the patient and provides comprehensive, coordinated, and seamless service.
• Obtains current and accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Makes patient appointments appropriately according to templates and insurance.
• Validates the status of insurance.
• Performs appropriate referrals to assist the uninsured population.
• Routes calls and messages as required, following protocols.
• Maintains an understanding of clinic functions and escorts patients and the public to the proper destinations.
• Conducts themselves to provide the best patient experience possible.
• Closes patient appointments with a short survey of the visit.
• Leads daily huddles with providers.
• Completes chart audits for scheduled Medicare patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Mandatory report training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of insurance.
• Background in healthcare preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Completion of all annual competency training.
• Maintain license and/or certification.
