Clinic Reg Medical Assistant

About the role

The Registered Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The Registered Medical Assistant will conduct patient intake, take vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and complete patient health history in the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake
• Take vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Complete patient health history in the electronic medical record
• Draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
• Be friendly, professional, and able to keep a fast pace during clinic hours

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required if working in the lab
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
• Registered Medical Assistant certification required

Qualifications

• CPR certification required

Skills

• Good decision making skills

• Knowledge of anatomy
• Proficient in medical terminology

Pay
