Clinic Reg Medical Assistant

About the role

The Registered Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The ideal candidate will display good decision-making skills, be able to multitask, have knowledge of anatomy, and is proficient in medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake and complete patient health history in the electronic medical record
• Take vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, which may involve exposure to bodily fluids during patient care
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor while keeping a fast pace during clinic hours

Requirements

• CPR certification required
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required if working in the lab
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
• Registered Medical Assistant certification required

Schedule

Day shift; working hours vary by provider schedule. This role is authorized for 64.00 hours bi-weekly.
