Clinic Reg Medical Assistant

About the role

The Registered Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The ideal candidate will display good decision-making skills, be able to multitask, have knowledge of anatomy, and is proficient in medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake and take vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
• Complete patient health history in the electronic medical record.
• Draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, which may involve exposure to bodily fluids during patient care.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor while keeping a fast pace during clinic hours.

Requirements

• CPR certification required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required if working in the lab.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Registered Medical Assistant certification required.

Schedule

Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Hours

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
