Clinic Phlebotomist
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in determining patient diagnoses and treatment by expertly performing blood collection and specimen processing, ensuring the highest level of patient care. Every day you will expertly obtain and process blood specimens via capillary or venipuncture, ensuring integrity, proper disposal, and timely distribution to testing areas with special instructions, all while performing clerical duties and prioritizing patient comfort.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a special talent for making patients feel comfortable during blood work, while adhering to lab collection turnaround times.
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
- Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
Job Requirements
- High School GED General Studies required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire
