About the role
The nurse is responsible for patient preparation, assisting the physician with medical procedures and minor surgeries, performing various diagnostic tests, administering medications, and providing patient education in the clinic. Maintains equipment and serves as a liaison between the physician and outside agencies, including hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, other physician offices, and patients. Supports other medical staff to maintain patient flow and ensures accurate and complete documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for medical procedures and examinations
- Assist physicians with medical procedures and minor surgeries
- Perform diagnostic tests and administer medications
- Provide patient education and support
- Maintain medical equipment and supplies
- Coordinate with external agencies (hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, etc.)
- Support team members to maintain efficient patient flow
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation
Requirements
- Current Arkansas nursing license
- Degree from an accredited institution
Schedule
Day shift, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Hours
80.00 hours authorized bi-weekly.
