Clinic Nurse (LPN)

About the role

As a Clinic Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of nursing care as reflected in the SC LPN scope of practice, including health data collection, administering medications, implementing patient interventions, assessing patient responses, and basic health teaching.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication pre-authorizations and refill requests
• Provide follow-up to lab results and medication changes
• Aiding physicians with patient set-up and preparations
• Performing nurse visits and patient education
• Triage incoming phone calls
• Checking-in and checking-out patients
• Rooming patients and performing data collections, vitals, EMR input
• Sending outgoing referrals and managing fax in-box / distributing faxes to proper staff
• Ordering / managing general inventory and office supplies
• Aiding with staff training

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 2 years previous experience as an LPN
• Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association (required within 30 days of hire)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association (preferred)

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation with South Carolina Board of Nursing
• Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing (preferred)

Preferred Skills And Abilities

• Skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those related to nursing
• Computer knowledge required
• Phlebotomy skills and experience preferred

Commensurate with experience
