Clinic Medical Assistant (MA-C) - General & Vascular Surgery - Full Time (40 hours/week)
About the Role
The Clinic Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for procedures necessary to support the provider to whom they are assigned with the goal of providing excellent patient care. This position may float to support other KVH clinics.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining vital signs
- Assisting with medical procedures
- Administering injections and medications
- Verifying and updating patient medical records for completeness
- Refilling medications
- Notifying patients of test results
- Other assigned duties within the CMA scope of practice
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program
- Currently licensed as a Medical Assistant in the State of Washington
- Current BLS card for Healthcare Provider (maintenance required)
- Previous exposure to an Electronic Medical Records system
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified as Bilingual; English/Spanish
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant
- CWCA Wound Care Certification
Pay & Schedule
Wage range currently starts at $21.91/hour and goes up to $33.22/hour. Actual wage will be based on years of applicable experience.
Career progression ladder based on ability to float between clinics and function as a preceptor for students:
- Tier 2: $21.91 - $33.22
- Tier 3: $23.35 - $35.39
- Tier 4: $24.52 - $37.16
- Tier 5: $25.74 - $39.02
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
