Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient care, clerical duties, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
- Handle appointment scheduling and chart management.
- Provide information to patients to help them fully utilize and benefit from clinic services.
- Convey a positive image of the organization.
- Perform clinical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician (MD, DO, APN, PA) who is physically present in the facility and immediately available.
Requirements
- A minimum of six months’ experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting, and/or direct patient care experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training program.
- Fluency in English.
- Must obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia training within 90 days of hire, if required by department.
