Clinic Medical Assistant

About the role

The Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The Medical Assistant will conduct patient intake, take vital signs, and complete patient health history in the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake
• Take vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Complete patient health history in the electronic medical record
• May be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
• Must be friendly, professional, and able to keep a fast pace during clinic hours

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a medical assistant program preferred
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Qualifications

• Good decision making skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of anatomy
• Proficiency in medical terminology

Skills

• Medical assisting skills
• Basic medical knowledge

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
