What we want The College of Dentistry is looking for a Clinic Manager to serve in the Oral Surgery department. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. What you need to know Proposed Salary: $5,000.00 monthly based on selected candidates qualifications Work Schedule/Location: Located in Dallas, TX, this an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm. Responsibilities Oral Maxillofacial Clinic Manager Oversee clinic staff and operations; coordinate workflow and promote communications between functional areasManage the daily clinic scheduleResponsible, with help from clinic staff, for managing clinic revenue cycle, including EOB verification, treatment estimates, collecting and posting payments, setting uppayment plans and liaising with third party billing company.Audit patient records for missing information, insurance documentation and chart completenessServe as department document retention expert, implementing appropriate protocols aligned with A&M rules and regulationsTrack status of all provider licensure, certification and credentialing paperwork; process needed paperwork to ensure continuity of careIdentify issues and recommend solutions to enhance the patient experience and improve operational efficiency Supervisory Supervises and trains office and clinic staff based on established policies.Coordinates staff recruitment, interviewing, and hiring according to organizational guidelines.Assigns work to team based on priorities and evaluates staff performance.Conducts staff meetings and oversees staff payroll according to policy.Identifies areas for improvement and implements new administrative procedures. Billing Administration Provide information to insurance carriers or patients regarding accounts, treatment plans and other relevant information; Notify insurance carriers of patient admission for precertificationServe as patient resource on account and billing inquiriesManage delinquent accounts according to School policy.Enter or oversee staff charged with entering CPT, ICD9 and ADA codes to medical or dental services and diagnosesPrepare documentation such as EOB copies for secondary billingManage AR by following up with patients and third party payors; rebill claims and initiate account correspondence with relevant parties Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Five years of experience in healthcare, medical or dental office supporting clinic operations, to include management/supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant experience in oral surgery clinic.Relevant supervisory experience.Strong knowledge of dental office and clinic operations.Experience with and knowledge of medical and dental insurance processes.Experience with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems, especially Epic.Knowledge of accounting procedures, office administration, and medical/dental terminology.Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of medical billing and insurance claimsExperience reviewing and adjudicating billing disputes and helping with insurance appeal situations etc.Knowledge of supplies, equipment and staff needed to operate a clinicExperience utilizing an electronic health record, including entering and auditing data used for performance reports and billingKnowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
