CLINIC LAB TECH- FLOAT POOL

About the role

The Clinic Lab Tech assists in all aspects of the lab per physician orders to aid in the proper diagnosis of the patient.

Responsibilities

• Greets and identifies patients using two-patient identifiers.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens with very few errors using a variety of laboratory collection tools and methods.
• Properly identifies and labels all specimens in accordance with established laboratory guidelines.
• Processes all specimens in an efficient and timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in phlebotomy or a related field required.
• Certified Lab Assistant, Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technologist preferred, but not required.
