Responsibilities
- Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
- Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by completing intake duties such as obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
- Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
- Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a state-approved EMT training program.
- Active Nebraska EMT License.
- Active status on the Nebraska Medication Aide Registry within 90 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
