About the role

We are looking for a full-time Clinic Coordinator for our Occupational Health Clinic in Anchorage, AK. This role supports our primary care clinic in Fairbanks, playing a crucial part in providing information about services, ensuring a safe patient care environment, and promoting excellence in customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and maintain professional conduct.
  • Practice cost containment and align with organizational goals.
  • Utilize intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe, and navigate electronic systems for quality assurance of patient charts.
  • Manage phone lines, triage calls, schedule appointments, and ensure smooth check-in/out processes.
  • Display a positive attitude and respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to set priorities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected information.
  • Provide administrative support to the division, special teams, and committees.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with standards of care, Code of Ethics, policies, procedures, and regulatory agency rules.
  • Support monitoring practices for compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Assist in improving effectiveness by implementing new ideas and efficient approaches.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school education required.
  • Intermediate computer skills with prior experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office programs preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a front desk or office receptionist position.
  • Experience in occupational health and/or primary care, preferably in a high-volume medical practice.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Work conditions involve significant time spent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, assisting with positioning patients, and some lifting.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8-hour days.

Contingencies

Offer contingent upon ability to pass pre-employment drug testing (federal panel), physical exam, background check, and motor vehicle report.
