AppleGate Recovery, a division of BayMark Health Services, is a multi-site, multi-service organization providing opioid use disorder treatment and rehabilitation for patients across the country. Combining evidence-based, medication-assisted treatment with counseling and behavioral services, AppleGate offers a successful option for many patients.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the maintenance of quality care and monitor treatment of all patients.
- Maintain accurate and current clinical records.
- Conduct internal program reviews, patient records reviews, and educational counseling.
- Assess training needs of clinical and support staff with the Program Director.
- Ensure staff compliance with Federal and State regulations governing patient treatment.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and training programs as needed.
- Maintain a basic understanding of alcohol/drug abuse and addiction, staying updated on current treatment information.
- Provide intake/readmission services and follow-up calls/contact to all discharging patients for at least 30 days.
- Provide crisis intervention/supportive services to patients and refer to higher levels of care as needed.
- Provide interagency reports/documentation as required.
- Perform individual and peer file reviews monthly for quality control.
- Maintain and assist with a chart monitoring system.
- Participate in or direct community and public relations activities, including advertising and marketing.
- Collect patient program fees as necessary while in clinic.
- Efficiently use computers and relevant programs to ensure clinic financial accountability and accuracy.
- Develop professional, helpful, and effective relationships with patients.
- Function as a team leader with the ability to delegate tasks for clinic stability.
- Project a positive and professional image to the community representing the clinic.
- Participate in and/or help perform monthly Clinic In-Service Trainings.
- Provide follow-up calls to new patients within 48 hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the behavioral health field highly preferred (additional related experience may substitute for educational component).
- Appropriate work experience in the behavioral health field.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in care management for patients in substance abuse treatment facilities.
- Maturity, leadership, and knowledge of counseling principles.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in typing, writing, spelling, grammar, and organization.
- Ability to enforce company policies regarding finances.
- Working knowledge of telephone, fax machine, computer, and copy machine operations.
- Proactive, positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Confidence in creating relationships and organizing tasks.
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and work independently.
- Flexibility to pivot when necessary without discomfort.
- Ability to remain calm under deadlines and work with staff at all organizational levels.
- Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
