Clinic Certified Medical Assistant/LPN – FT Pleasantville

Essential Functions

• Room patients
• Identify and document chief complaint, allergies and medications
• Measure and record vital signs, weight and measurement
• Summarize assessment data, document and share with provider
• Provide immunizations, injections and medications under the supervision of the provider
• Assist with prescription refills under direction of provider
• Perform preventative health screenings and nursing treatments
• Assist with patient examinations
• Document detailed patient information
• Provide patient and family education
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
• Absorb and manage patient flow in an orderly and fair manner
• Inform patients of delays and waiting times
• Triage and prioritize acutely ill or injured patients
• Notify patients of lab/imaging results
• Complete room outdate checks and restock exam rooms
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant with an accredited organization
• Previous clinic experience preferred
• Current BLS and Mandatory Reporter Certification
• Mandatory completion of all annual competency training
• Maintain license and/or certification
