Clinic Care Tech, Medical Assistant or LPN - Hematology/Oncology

About the role

The position serves Essentia Health's Hematology/Oncology department, working 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no holidays or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN, Physician, and other providers in providing direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting.
• Performs identified procedures based on demonstrated competencies.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.
• Provides assistance with daily patient flow in the clinic setting.
• May include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in patient chart, stocking, and cleaning exam rooms.
• Orders and maintains clinic supplies.
• Assists with clerical duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant or LPN (Salary $20.39 - 29.99)
• Licensed Practical Nurse in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant OR Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in appropriate state.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.
• Clinic Care Technician (Salary $16.82 - 25.05)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in appropriate state, i.e. Minnesota, Wisconsin, OR current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire.
• (Must pass certification within two attempts).
