Clinic Care Team - LPN or CMA

About the role

Ortonville Area Health Services and Northside Medical Clinic seek an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) to join our clinic nursing team. This nurse will work closely with a provider(s) and their daily schedule of patients, manage patient care in the electronic medical record, and support nursing needs across the entire clinic. The role involves being part of a care team and the broader clinic nursing team, including supporting clinic functions and adapting to changing patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in providing direct and indirect care of patients according to the mission statement of Ortonville Area Health Services.
• Participates in and evaluates total patient care through general nursing duties in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients from birth to geriatric.
• Provides an assortment of skills and duties according to scope of practice during direct patient care under the delegation of the RN or provider of the team.
• Demonstrates dependability, dedication, and passion for patient care.
• Takes initiative in meeting the needs of the entire clinic team throughout each day.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Minnesota (South Dakota license process must be started at time of hire) or current CMA certificate with the American Association of Medical Assistants. Neither LPN nor CMA certificate may have current disciplinary actions pending.
• Ability to adapt resources to meet situational needs.
• Strong prioritization skills, ability to work independently, and complete assigned duties within a constantly changing environment.

Schedule

• Full-time (72-80 hours per pay period) or regular part-time (48-60 hours per pay period) positions available.
• Monday through Friday with rotating weekends during clinic hours, typically 1 weekend every 6 weeks.
