Clinic Billing Specialist III- Anesthesia/Reference Lab

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with medical billing, claims processing, and insurance follow-up (anesthesia and/or reference lab billing experience highly preferred)
• Knowledge of claim submission processes, billing compliance, and payer requirements
• High school diploma preferred
• Strong data entry and typing skills (minimum 45 WPM; ten key by touch preferred)
• Ability to review accounts for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

What You Will Do:

• To review and prepare billing forms and ensure accuracy and completeness for electronic and hardcopy claims submission, specializing in anesthesia and reference lab billing and insurance follow-up.
• Prepare and review billing forms to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission to insurance carriers
• Submit claims electronically and process paper claims as needed
• Review accounts for charge discrepancies and complete rebilling requests in a timely manner
• Maintain records, reports, and daily production logs while evaluating account activity
• Communicate with internal departments and external payers to resolve billing issues
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations, internal policies, and HIPAA requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
