CLIN AST / ASO / FULL PROF - HLA Laboratory

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with the HLA Medical Director in the overall management of the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics laboratory.

Continue and implement state-of-the-art testing and ensure robust quality performance.

Share in the review and approval of test results/report, on-call duties, serve as a clinical consultant and provide guidance for current transplant regulations as needed.

Primary responsibilities will involve service and clinical teaching of residents and medical students.

Qualifications

• Preferably hold a medical (M.D. or D.O.) or doctoral (Ph.D.) degree and possess the HLA Laboratory Director Certification from the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) or be eligible for certification at time of hire.
• However, MD and/or Ph.D. candidates who are currently training in histocompatibility with a goal to become ACHI credentialed will be considered.
• Relevant molecular experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in histocompatibility testing, transplant immunology and immunogenetics.
• Provide clinical laboratory support for solid organ and stem cell transplantation recipients and donors.
• An established track record of peer-reviewed work and desire for advancing knowledge in the field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
