Position Summary
The Climbing Wall Facilitator supports the safe and exciting operation of Camp Bashor's climbing wall as part of the camp's COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) program. This position focuses on participant safety, equipment management, and delivering a positive adventure experience consistent with Scouting America's National Camp Standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure participant safety during climbing activities.
- Manage climbing wall equipment and supplies.
- Deliver engaging and educational programs aligned with Scouting standards.
- Assist in maintaining the climbing wall and its surrounding area.
- Collaborate with other COPE staff to enhance the overall camp experience.
Qualifications
- Required Certifications:
- COPY OF REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS HERE
- First Aid / CPR / AED Certification - required (current within 12 months).
- Belay and Rescue Techniques Training - preferred but training available.
- Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking and hiking for distances up to 2 miles at a time.
- Outdoor work, exposed to all weather conditions, dust, pollen, plant life, insects, and wildlife.
