Climbing Arborist Crew Leader

Position Overview

Climbing Arborist Crew Leader – on‑site position in Chantilly, VA. Permanent full‑time role with up to 25% travel.

Pay range $26‑$42 per hour depending on experience. $2,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified applicant, paid in increments of $500 the first month and $500 each consecutive month.

Job Duties

• Climb trees using Davey’s DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients, including jobsite hazards, obstacles, planning, and equipment (H.O.P.E.) process.
• Perform pruning, thinning, and removal of deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.
