This role is ideal for someone with experience in restaurant or food retail bookkeeping, administration, or operations who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and supporting clients behind the scenes. The ideal candidate is passionate about accuracy, eager to learn, able to multitask effectively, and thrives in a fast-moving environment.

About the role

In this role, you’ll support our clients by processing purchase data, reviewing pricing accuracy, and ensuring information is packaged and organized correctly so customers can confidently assess inventory and recipe costs. Your work will play a critical role in maintaining accurate records and delivering a high-quality client experience within the food and beverage industry.

As a team built by former (and current!) restaurant operators, our mission is to bring operators the same energy, attention to detail, and passion that they bring to their guests. Our culture is deeply rooted in service, and we design our software with profound empathy for the complexity of running a restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage client purchase data, including coding items, performing unit/quantity conversions, and reconciling vendor information between our systems and the client's accounting system.
  • Ensure data quality by identifying and reporting invoice processing errors and conducting thorough quality check reviews.
  • Collaborate effectively across the organization and be a trusted partner to internal and offshore teams, maintaining promised timelines.

Requirements

  • Required experience in the restaurant or food & beverage industry.
  • Required to work 75% of scheduled shift between Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Familiarity with restaurant bookkeeping practices, including standard chart of accounts, invoices, and/or ordering.
  • Strong comfort with numbers and basic mathematical concepts.
  • Excellent remote communication skills (Slack, Google Meet, etc.) with an ability to keep communication clear, concise, and focused on action.
  • High sense of productivity, with the judgment to balance independent problem-solving and timely escalation of urgent issues.
  • A detail-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and a desire to constantly go above and beyond.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this part-time, fully remote role is $16.00–$18.00 per hour. Where a candidate falls within that range depends on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity.

Benefits

  • Commuter benefits with employer contribution.
  • 401(k) and matching.
  • Lunch catered twice a week at our HQ in Arlington (exclusively from our clients).
  • A wellness program that sponsors healthy activities such as step challenges and provides discounts to gyms and fitness classes.
