About the role
The Client Services Specialist role is critical during a period of growth and operational transition for the firm. This position will initially provide front-line client service, phone coverage, intake-related support, and general administrative assistance while also beginning to learn the Social Security Disability side of the practice over time. This is a developmental role, not a position that requires someone to already be a trained Social Security Disability paralegal. The right person will be dependable, client-focused, coachable, and excited to grow from client services into broader legal support and Social Security Disability work.
Responsibilities
- Client Support: Provide front-line communication and service to clients, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
- Phone Management: Answer and route incoming calls, handle client inquiries, and manage follow-ups.
- Intake and Administrative Support: Conduct client intakes, maintain accurate records, and support administrative duties.
- Medical Record Coordination: Assist in requesting and tracking medical records necessary for Social Security Disability cases, ensuring cases progress smoothly.
- Cross-Functional Coverage: Provide additional support during staff absences to maintain the workflow across the team.
Requirements
- Customer Service Experience: Required experience in a client-facing role, with strong communication, professionalism, and comfort speaking with clients by phone.
- Legal Experience Not Required: Prior legal experience is not required. The firm is willing to train the right person who consistently shows up, cares about doing a good job, and is eager to learn.
- Local Connection: A strong tie to the Blairsville area is preferred to support a realistic commute and long-term commitment to the role.
- Eagerness to Learn: A willingness to train in legal procedures and Social Security Disability processes with guidance from experienced team members.
- Detail-Oriented Follow-Up: Ability to handle record requests, follow-ups, status checks, and administrative details accurately and consistently.
- Dependability: Reliable, coachable, and committed to building a long-term role rather than seeking a short-term position.
- Team-Oriented Mindset: Willing to provide coverage when team members are out and help reduce pressure across the office.
Qualifications
- Medical or Professional Services Exposure: Experience in healthcare, insurance, medical office support, professional services, or customer service is preferred but not required.
Benefits
- Compensation: Approximately $20/hour, based on experience and overall fit.
- Full-Time Schedule: Consistent 40-hour workweek.
- 401(k) Match: Access to a retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
- Long-Term Growth: Opportunity to grow from client services into legal support and Social Security Disability work.
- Training and Development: Learn from experienced team members while gradually taking on more responsibility, with comprehensive in-house training from experienced paralegals to grow into Social Security Disability specialization.
- Positive Work Environment: Join a respectful, tight-knit team that values reliability, teamwork, and client service.
- Direct Leadership Access: Work closely with Daniel R. Duello and Richard W. Sarrell, engaging directly with firm leadership.
- Impactful Work: Engage in meaningful legal work that makes a real difference in clients' lives during recovery and stress.
