About the Role

Aquent is partnering with a leading healthcare marketing agency renowned for building meaningful connections through innovative strategy, creativity, and exceptional execution. This specialized agency sector is dedicated to partnering with top pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics companies, creating engaging patient experiences, improving adherence, and driving significant business outcomes through cutting-edge multi-channel marketing. We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead strategic client relationships and drive integrated marketing initiatives for a dedicated pharmaceutical account. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary client partner, translating complex business objectives into impactful marketing strategies and flawlessly executed campaigns that educate, engage, and support patients through their treatment journey. You’ll champion patient adherence, access to care, and overall treatment experience, all while providing day-to-day leadership to cross-functional teams and ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary strategic contact, building and nurturing trusted, long-term relationships with healthcare and pharmaceutical clients.
  • Deeply understand client products, brand positioning, competitive landscapes, and business objectives to inform strategic direction.
  • Translate client goals and market insights into innovative, integrated, and measurable multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing initiatives across digital, web, email, SMS, video, social media, direct mail, print, paid media, and experiential events.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Project Management, Creative, Strategy, Content, and Production, providing day-to-day leadership for successful campaign delivery.
  • Accurately interpret client feedback, communicate priorities, and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen relationships and grow accounts.
  • Champion your client’s brand, ensuring all recommendations align with strategic objectives and foster innovation.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that educate, influence, and engage senior client stakeholders.
  • Independently manage multiple priorities, ensuring high-quality execution and exceptional client service while upholding agency standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of dedicated account management or client services experience within a healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing agency.
  • Current or prior experience at a leadership level such as Account Director, Client Services Director, Group Account Supervisor, or a Senior Account Manager poised for a Director-level role.
  • Profound understanding of healthcare marketing, the pharmaceutical industry, and the nuances of highly regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex client relationships, fostering growth in strategic accounts, and delivering exceptional service.
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies, encompassing digital, web, email, SMS, direct mail, print, media, social, events, and experiential marketing.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to independently drive complex client initiatives to successful completion.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and/or diagnostics markets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Patient Support Services (PSS), patient engagement, patient education, or patient adherence programs.
  • Familiarity with Medical, Legal & Regulatory (MLR) review processes.
  • Experience developing patient-facing marketing assets, including digital campaigns, microsites, video, and email marketing.
  • A track record of interpreting healthcare market research and translating findings into actionable business strategies.

Compensation & Benefits

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $150,000–$160,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits.
