About the role

The Client Services Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering innovative benefits solutions for MetLife's large group benefits clients across the United States. This role involves providing administrative support, customer service, and collaborating with customers, brokers, and partners to enhance MetLife's offerings and digital experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Overall accountability for customer requests, leading projects, providing alternative solutions, consulting where appropriate, identifying possible plan design alternatives, acting as a liaison between the customer and internal MetLife teams, and collaborating for problem troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to support ongoing customer delivery and satisfaction.
  • Leading, participating, and driving resolutions where applicable in both customer- and internal-facing presentations and meetings.
  • Participating in strategy meetings, establishing specific processes and reports, providing demonstrations, reviewing contract documents, creating process manuals, and ensuring accurate input of data in MetLife systems.
  • Developing agenda and presentation materials for customer meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years business experience or a minimum of 5 years business experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong project management skills including problem solving, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decisiveness.
  • Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately, and remain flexible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in insurance benefits.
  • Higher Education.
  • Experience managing large group benefits clients.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $64,800 - $99,300. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
