About the role

The Client Services Consultant II plays a crucial role in delivering the end-to-end client experience for a portfolio of PEO, Payroll and Staffing (PPS) relationships. This role supports MetLife's commitment to building strong client partnerships by serving as the primary contact for strategic account management, service delivery, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall client experience for a portfolio of PPS customers, serving as the primary point of contact for service requests, issue resolution, and ongoing account management.
  • Manage and coordinate client projects, presentations, strategic planning activities, audits, and implementation of service solutions across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and recommend alternative solutions, plan design options, and process improvements that support client objectives and business growth.
  • Partner with internal MetLife teams to resolve complex customer issues, ensure operational excellence, and maintain accurate contract, broker, and system data.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to team members while maintaining expertise in MetLife products, services, industry trends, and competitive offerings.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and 5+ years of experience in client services, account management, employee benefits, insurance, or a related field.
  • Expertise in group insurance products, services, and systems, with the ability to support complex client needs and business requirements.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client commitments simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, including experience presenting to clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems, navigate ambiguity, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Professional Employer Organization (PEO) clients or similar large-group benefits relationships.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend strategic solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and MS Project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience supporting executive-level client interactions.
  • A self-motivated learner with a proactive approach to professional development and continuous improvement.

Location Expectation

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
