Key Responsibilities

  • Execute trust and banking money movement requests accurately and efficiently, including wires, ACHs, transfers, protected profiles, recurring instructions, check issuing, deposit requests, and related account activities.
  • Review all requests thoroughly and process work in compliance with Wealth Management Authentication and Verification Requirements and NCSS best practices.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and minimal processing errors while meeting published service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively with Front Office partners and internal stakeholders; provide status updates as needed until resolution.
  • Escalate questions, risks, or unclear requirements appropriately to team consultants and leadership to ensure accurate execution.

Training, Development & Knowledge

  • Complete all required organizational and business unit training by established deadlines.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of applicable standards, procedures, and operational updates.

Team & Business Contribution

  • Contribute positively to team and business unit goals through collaboration, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Support Wealth Management initiatives and cross-functional efforts as requested.
  • Be willing to provide coverage or backup support when needed.
  • Uphold service standards and contribute to a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Technology & Systems Proficiency

  • Develop proficiency in required systems and applications, such as Salesforce, Outlook, Adobe, Excel, and Word.
  • Use provided applications effectively to support daily work.
  • Stay current on system enhancements and apply them to improve efficiency and service quality.

Necessary Experience, Knowledge And Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial and/or client servicing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of investment, banking, and/or personal trust and advisory operations, products, and services usually acquired through related work experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to identify, research, and/or resolve requests, manage conflicting priorities, and optimize workflow.

Pay

The salary range for this position is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust offers a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. The company also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
