Client Service Representative
About the role
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, up-beat addition to the VCA Capeway Animal Hospital's Client Service Representative team. The Client Service Representative (CSR) serves as the face of the hospital. We are a seven doctor, small animal practice located in Fairhaven, MA that has served the area for over 50 years. We strive to provide the highest-quality veterinary medicine and outstanding customer service. We consider our clients to be our friends as well as customers, and we are committed to serving their pets with the same genuine concern, care, and gentleness that we would our own pets.
Responsibilities
- Greeting clients and offering refreshments
- Checking patients in
- Answering a multi-line phone system in a professional manner
- Scheduling appointments
- Preparing medications
- Serving as a liaison between clients and doctors
- Confirming appointments
- Relaying basic lab results
- Responding to text messages and emails
- Handing out treats and showing compassion to our furry patients
Schedule
This position is full-time, 35–40 hours per week, and follows a 4-day work week. Scheduled workdays include Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and every other Saturday. When you are scheduled to work a Saturday, you will receive an additional weekday off during that week.
This is primarily a closing shift:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: typically starts at 9:00am and ends around 7:30pm
- Fridays: start times vary (7:20am, 7:45am, or 8am) with expected end time around 6:00pm
- Saturdays: generally run from 7:45am to approximately 4pm

Pay
The salary range for this position is $16 - $23.51 / hour.
