Client Service Representative

About the role

As a Veterinary Receptionist at BluePearl Pet Hospital, you are the first point of contact for clients and play a crucial role in ensuring they receive care and attention. You will greet clients warmly, assess their needs and their pet’s condition, and determine the urgency of emergency arrivals. Your compassionate and professional demeanor will help support clients during emotional and difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients with friendly eye contact, a warm smile, and a professional demeanor every time the hospital entry door opens.
• Assess each client’s needs and the pet’s general condition upon arrival, determining whether an emergency is “stat” or “standard.”
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance and provide clients with accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during the handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
• Communicate clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone to ensure clients easily understand.

Requirements

• Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.
• Ability to function calmly and compassionately in emotionally charged situations.
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for working with pets and their owners.
